Having spent some time researching blog optimisation; I stumbled upon a widget known as: LinkWithin.
LinkWithin is a blog widget that appears under each post, linking the post to related stories from the blog archive.
This is a pretty nifty technique because it flags posts which the reader may be interested in, yet may not have noticed & therefore increases activity on the blog.
Furthermore; the presentation of LinkWithin is discrete & therefore doesn't distract from the main post.
LinkWithin is free & easy to install & it's something I certainly recommend.
